Designed for lasting comfort and support, the Premium Foam Core Futon features an 18cm profile with a sturdy foam centre wrapped in layers of cotton. Its balanced feel makes it ideal for daily use, offering the structure of a mattress with the flexibility of a traditional futon. Durable, breathable, and easy to fold—perfect for minimalist or multifunctional spaces.
The foam used in the Premium series of Futons is a premium high density foam, giving a long life to the mattress, and comfort for many years.
This futon comes with thick Australian cotton (carded) padding either side of the internal foam center (core).
Zentai’s unique method of manufacture guarantees quality of workmanship. All our futons are double lined to prevent cotton from shifting or lumping. We use the patented ‘T-tufting’ system ( not strings ). Our futons are hand tufted using European made plastic-top mattress T tufts (tuft size W 18mm x H 4mm x D 3mm). Extra tufting ensures consistency and longevity. Only the best materials are used in manufacture. We use A-grade Australian cotton and superior quality CFC free foam. Futons are covered in Organic Cotton & Viscose blend woven fabric ( Viscose is a manufactured regenerated, plant derived cellulose fibre from wood pulp (from trees like beech, pine, or eucalyptus ).
This mattress is recommended for use on a bed frame - not on the floor.

Futon is a natural fiber mattress which requires high maintenance - regular turning, weekly sunning and airing (for a couple of hours) in direct sunlight. Sunning will dry out any moisture, re-fluff the cotton fibers to a degree, and refresh your futon. Weekly flipping and rotating is also recommended to achieve even compression.
Futon’s main component is carded cotton which naturally “compacts and compresses”. Natural cotton has no memory and doesn’t spring back. After regular use (or a break-in period of 6 to 8 weeks ) you will notice the development of a body signature in your futon - this is a normal occurrence and indicates that the cotton layers are conforming to the contours of your body. Cotton will settle / compress about 50% of its original thickness and will get firmer with age.
All Zentai futons are covered by a 24 month warranty.
Yes, we recommend that you always use a Natural Cotton or Wool type mattress protector on your futon mattress. This will absorb any body moisture and, therefore, extend the life of your mattress. The mattress protector can be washed regularly, ensuring a healthier sleep. Our Bambi Cottina 100% Cotton Mattress Protector is the perfect choice.

My last one lasted and is still being loved and used since early 2000 so I thought I would get another one to add to my collection - I now have three futons - one in my van and one in my caravan and a new one for my bedroom - best nights sleep ever , you can't beat it !!!
Love my new futon, this is my second one. Had to get a new one after my original went in the foods last year. Only thing I would suggest as an improvement is perhaps consider adding handles of some kind to the sides, that would just make it easier for a single person to move it around to put it out to sun and air etc. Never having a toxic spring mattress again after a dental futon.

I bought this queen mattress having previously bought the same ones for my kids, and I love it. I wasn't sleeping well on my old sprung/latex topped mattress due to it sagging and the latex feeling too hot. I adore going to bed on this mattress, it is so solid yet comfortable and my nights have improved no end!

The best futon in the world!
Yes it has been a great experience adjusting to a futon my back is standing up straight and has been able to support itself better. The luxury futon fits perfectly on my low bed frame and is so comfy. Was easy enough to roll out and move around. It is pretty heavy but lighter than a usual western mattress. Each night I have had with my futon has been better than the night before. Amazing quality enough padding if you need it but also super firm to provide the support you need. Just a bit of a process for the body but no issues with it at all. For the condition my body is in it has been a breeze. Breath easy with Zentai products. Thank you ❣️

TATAMI CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Tatami characteristics & handling
Exposure to sunlight and ultraviolet light will, over time, gradually alter the color of the Tatami surface. The initial green hue ( derived from rush grass ) will transition to a refined golden light brown straw color.
Tatami mats can be laid on top of most flooring such as stone, hardwood floor, carpet or heated floor. Adding perimeter frames will provide optimal protection against edge damage.
Tatami should NOT be laid on humid floors or used with shoes on.
Before using
Clean the surface of tatami mats with a damp cloth.
If you are finding Tatami mat’s natural grass and straw perfume is too strong, air the Tatami Mats outdoors for a few days avoiding moisture from weather or water sprinkles.
You may also clean the surface with lemon oil. Mix a little bit of oil with water and wipe the surface with damp cloth.
Always take your shoes off before walking on Tatami.
Routine periodic care
Wipe Tatami surface with damp cloth regularly.
When vacuuming, move the brush in the direction of the reed.
Put your tatami mats up every 2 months so it can be aired.
You can also take your tatami outside and place them in full sunlight, for a good sunbathing session for 1 to 2 hours. Sunning is very beneficial as it will prevent mold and mildew, kill bacteria with natural UV exposure and dry any moisture buildup.
During long rain periods, use of a dehumidifier is recommended to draw excess moisture away.
To clean the following stains:
Mold: Gently brush off the mold. Wipe with clean cloth moistened with ethyl alcohol. Never apply wet cleaners directly onto the mat.
Dents: Spray with water. Iron with a wet clean towel.
Ink: Wipe with clean cloth moistened with milk.
Dark stains: ( such as soy sauce and coffee ) Absorb stain with flour or talcum powder. Vacuum after.
Crayon: Scrape crayon. Apply a little cleaner to dry clean cloth and wipe.
Marker: Wipe with dry clean cloth moistened with nail polish removal.
Kerosene and urine: Absorb stain with flour. Vacuum. Wipe with tightly wrung wet cloth. Rinse and wipe again. Repeat several times.
